We have been back from our nice holiday for a couple of weeks now, and I am missing the nice warm weather we enjoyed for 3-long weeks. Here in Sydney, summer is non-existent this year. It has been raining and plenty of areas now are flooded. We are lucky we were able to do some gardening this morning as the forecast of horrible weather didn't happen. Still we are hoping for some sunshine in the days to come and be able to enjoy the remaining days of summer.

Busy beez

A day in the garden is one of the many things I enjoy being at home. Watering plants, pulling weeds out and pruning are fun to do. We did all those yesterday with our little man's help who sat on his dad's lap while weeding. We have been away for three weeks and in that short amount of time, weeds went crazy and everywhere. Still, it was nice to see the result of our labor and we could plant some more plants in. We also got to harvest some of our crops like tomatoes, green beans, zucchinies and corns. Nothing is better than eating fresh food from the garden.

Men's tennis match at its best

The championship match between Rafael Nadal and Djokovic was one of the greatest and longest matches in Mens Singles Tennis in history. It was more or less a 6-hour game which kept people awake until wee hours of the morning. The two were both excellent on court. But Djokovic came out victorious. They predicted Djokovic might lose as he only had a day to recover from the previous match against the Scottish Andy Murray. Nadal had two days off, still the defending champ proved that he has what it takes to be the number one tennis player in the world. They were both exhausted and were given chairs to sit on at the awarding ceremony. I hope there will be more good tennis matches like these in the future. Truly tennis is one of the best sports in the world.

Mothers are God's gift

Our mother is our greatest gift from God. They are our source of strenght and happiness. Though there maybe times that misunderstanding arises, but they always understand their children and love them to death. There are many ways we could give back to our mom's kindness is to us.
